help mounting CD/DVD drives and finding windows disk

hey everyone,

I got this fiesty fawn installed.

its a dual boot with XP, but I want to be able to look in the windows drive, so I can get music from it.

also, how can I get my CD/DVD drives to work?
I was in the system settings, but nothing seems to get the drives to "mount"

how can I achieve this?

I don't know what I have really done, I know I signed in as root at the system config and changed something in the networks.

i am currently getting all windows files.

I got what I want, although I dont know how.
