    Audigy Setup

Kmixer sees my Audigy 1 but no sound comes out. I did a cat /proc/asound/cards and it does see my Audigy:

    cat /proc/asound/cards
    0 [VT82xx ]: HDA-Intel - HDA VIA VT82xx
    HDA VIA VT82xx at 0xfddfc000 irq 17
    1 [UART ]: MPU-401 UART - MPU-401 UART
    MPU-401 UART at 0x330, irq 10
    2 [Audigy ]: Audigy - Audigy 1 [SB0090]
    Audigy 1 [SB0090] (rev.3, serial:0x511102) at 0xdf00, irq 18

I have an onboard to which I will probably go into my BIOS and remove. Any ideas? I have ALSA updated

Try this > open Kmix > there should be a tab marked switches click on it > their could be 3 or 4 listed items there Tone, mic boost, etc > you are looking for the one Audigy Analog/Digital Output Jack unmark it ( it has a check mark or colored in box) now try your sound.
