CANNPT SET BRIGHTNESS

Hi all. I am having trouble setting the brightness on my HP Pavilion dv2310ca laptop. When the computer starts up the screen is a little dim. But once I adjust the bright it gets super bright and then I cannot lower it. The only way to get it back dim again is to restart the laptop. i once found a web page that showed me how to configure it, but cannot find it again. All I remember was that I had to do something in Konsole and set it at different % sign to get he backlight to lower. any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

No idea what he was talking about.

Anyway, try going to System Settings > Monitor & Display > Color & Gamma and moving the top slider to the left.
