    X server config problem?

    Hi,

I just installed kubuntu and I'm having some sort of problems with the X server configuration (I guess). Trying to start Adept I get this:

    ----------
    $ kdesu adept_manager
xauth: (argv):1: bad display name ":0" in "list" command
kdesu (kdelibs): WARNING: No X authentication info set for display :0
xauth: (argv):1: bad display name ":0" in "list" command
kdesu (kdelibs): WARNING: No X authentication info set for display :0
xauth: (argv):1: bad display name ":0" in "list" command
kdesu (kdelibs): WARNING: No X authentication info set for display :0
Xlib: connection to ":0.0" refused by server
    Xlib:
    No protocol specified

    adept_manager: cannot connect to X server :0
    -------------

    Any ideas ?

Adept Manager should already be installed. Run it from K Menu | System | Adept Manager

Are there any problems running any of the other standard KDE apps, like Konqueror or Ksysguard or Kcontrol?

Also, you're not trying to run Adept from a pure text terminal, as opposed to a terminal in an X window, are you?
        For external use only.
