External hard disc problem

Hi all,

My computer for some reason has decided that I'm not allowed to use external hard discs.

Whenever I attempt to put anything on it, an annoying little window pops up, saying : "Acces denied. Could not write to media/disk/name of file."

Somebody told me to instal "NTFS Configuration tool", that didn't work though...

If anybody has a solution.
