K Menu > System > Adept Manager, search for (and install) "foomatic-db-gimp-print" and "foomatic-db-gutenprint". That should do it.

EDIT: Then you go to System Settings > Printers > Add > Add Printer/Class.

I don't see your specific printer listed in the kubuntu database or in
http://openprinting.org/printer_list.cgi?make=Epson

However, one on the other drivers may work. If it does I was encourage you to update the information on linuxprinting.org.
