Please Help Me. I Just Installed Kubuntu For The First Time.

I need help installing my usb cable modem. I don't have a network card on my computer so I can't connect it with an ethernet cable.

How do I install my usb modem and setup internet access?

Arris Touchstone Telephony Modem. Model is TM402

well, seem you are not very lucky at the moment... googling for feisty or ubuntu and your modem gives very few results
there is a similar unsolved topic at ubuntuforums. however, it appears that this modem worked in dapper (*ubuntu 6.06)

I'd suggest buying a network card. The USB network interface is flaky at best in Windows, and is probably much worse in Linux.

You could also find the Windows USB network drivers and try to get them working with ndiswrapper, but I highly doubt it'll work.
