    Need help installing webcam

I got a Logitech Quickcam Pro for Notebooks and don't know how to set it up in Linux.

I connected the webcam and the light did not come on, so I ran lsusb and the device is listed, so I'm guessing I'm missing the drivers needed to control it.

Anyone know which driver(s) I'll need and if I should expect any other problems?

This is the driver you need. Look down page shows supported devices.

Is there any other driver that works?

I looked on the link that you gave and it says it doesn't work in Kopete or aMSN which are the 2 programs I would be using it in.

This link is where I figured out which driver you needed it only shows one. Not sure what other driver you could use.

Maybe you could try to install EasyCam. It might find a different driver.

Not sure...I don't have the box anymore, but I did a search for it on the website of the store I bought it from and it is listed as "Pro for Notebooks".
