Cannot make changes to drive mounting

I have tried entering System Settings/Disk and Filesystems, entering Administrator Mode, and editing mount properties. First, the system seems to get confused as to what drive I'm working on - it is OK on the first drive I enter settings for, but if you try to look at a different one (to compare settings, for example), it either ignores the modify button, or it brings up erroneous info.

Worse, it would appear that it actually entered the changes I made onto the wrong drive! Now it has incorrect settings entered for the floppy drive, but it would appear that information is bogus, as it does not agree with what Konquerer is showing.

The final bit is that it will not allow me to either delete the floppy drive mounting or to change the settings anymore.

This feels like another case where the nice pretty GUI is not connected to the settings file it is supposed to be editing. If so, can someone please tell me where the magic file is located, so I can type the info in by hand?

My goal was to simply add another hard drive to my system.

    Lesson learned, I'd say

The file system table you're looking for is to be found in /etc/fstab (to be accessed in "root mode" only - and to be backed up prior to any edition ...).

Before actually doing so, however, you may want to get a clearer idea of what you're after by reading through some hopefully helpful texts, e.g.:
