not showing cpu correct

hello i installed tonight onto my newish to me computer

and kdeinfo and other programs are not showin my cpu speed correct

i have this motherboard

in bios shows cpu correct so i booted into windows and used amd moniter and they show working at 2.2 each

things seam snappy just wondering if i am getin full speed here

in bios is "cool and quiet" or any power saving feature enabled? if so. you may try disabling it,. then trying cat /proc/cpuinfo again.

Keep C'nQ enabled, you will enjoy the less heat generation (which is not that great in a X2 4200+) and thus, lower power consumption, saving you lots of bucks in the long run.
I always had C'nQ enabled and never noticed until I was adjusting some services and saw the "powernow" service running. Contrary to common belief (and people love to state what they are not sure about), C'nQ doesn't result in any kind of performance hit, since the speed is adjusted instantly.
Don't turn it off just for the sake of seeing your CPU speed being reported as full, in fact, C'nQ and Speedstep were some of the greatest inventions by AMD and Intel. Turning it off is like buying the 64bit PC and installing 32bit OS.
