    Restricted Drivers Manager

Hello, not sure if this has been brought up already, but I haven't found it in the forums yet.

Ubuntu (Gnome) has an item under Administration called "Restricted Drivers Manager". A handy utility that scans for proprietary drivers for hardware on your system (like my Nvidia card).

I didn't see it in Kubuntu (running live), is it or an equivalent in Kubuntu?

I guess I could run the system under the Live CD for Ubuntu, and try and find out the where/what it has to install and then return to Kubuntu and try to install it too but that sounds like a pain!

    Thanks

    Re: Restricted Drivers Manager

ttomk there's no equivalent kde specific.

you can still use the restricted-manager.
though you'll have to add it manually to your kmenu.

    it's in main.
its installation should therefore be straighforward.
