    USB Sound for JVC UX-EP25

I use kubuntu 7.04 on a dell dimension 2550. It has an intel sound chip on the motherboard that I have running just fine.

I have just picked up a new cd player/clock radio and it has a USB port which, with that other OS, is supposed to be able to play sound produced by the computer and to play back the sound it produces on the PC.

    At a console, I get:
    kgw@kgw-home-desktop:~$ lsusb
    Bus 007 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 006 Device 004: ID 06e1:0834 ADS Technologies, Inc.
    Bus 006 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 001 Device 005: ID 08bb:2704 Texas Instruments Japan
Bus 001 Device 004: ID 046d:c501 Logitech, Inc. Cordless Mouse Receiver
    Bus 001 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
    Bus 005 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
    Bus 003 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
    Bus 002 Device 001: ID 0000:0000

    kgw@kgw-home-desktop:~$ sudo asoundconf list
    Password:
    Names of available sound cards:
    Intel
    default
    kgw@kgw-home-desktop:~$

I believe the JVC unit is Bus 1/Device5

USB Viewer, won't let me copy its output, but it says

    USB Audio DAC
    Manufacturer Burr-Brown from TI
and quite a bit more information.

I would like to play all of my sound through this unit but I have no idea how to set it up. Is it something that is windows only?

Is there a way in kubuntu to add another sound device like this and be able to switch between them?

    Ken
