    Doesn't see my wireless card

I'm installing Feisty on my fiancees laptop, and everything went very smooth, except that the computer is not seeing the wireless card. None of the iw* commands will see the card, but when I run a lshw -C network command I get this:
    Code:
     *-network

That shows me that it sees it. Help, I'm at a loss. I haven't been able to find a case like this in my searches.

Re: Doesn't see my wireless card

I decided to try out Dapper, rather than Feisty, and wireless worked right out of the box - no problems. Though now I can't seem to get the sound card to work.
