Audigy NX Problem

hello.

I am a new user of Kubuntu as for linux too.
After the installation all works great but i have no sound from my external sound card- Sound blaster audigy NX-. I disabled the on board sound card so that the alsa mixer shows me only the nx but still i have no sound at all.I do not care if i am able to use the S/PDIF.

I need a solution with simple way as i don't know a lot...

I have the same problem with my Creative X-Fi sound card. It appears that Creative is not very forth coming with producing drivers for Linux.

I have had to enable onboard sound to get kubuntu to make a noise!

You could try the creative website for Linux drivers for you card. Good hunting.
