    Monitor won't turn off

Hi there everyone. New member here. Not too new to Kubuntu though. I've got Feisty installed on my laptop (Dell Inspiron E1405) and after I go into the system settings and set the monitor to turn off after say 10 minutes (any period of time really), the only thing that happens is that the monitor doesn't refresh until I move the mouse. This is a relatively fresh install of Feisty. I had Dapper before and just did the online upgrade in the past. Then, I decided to do a fresh install. It didn't happen before when I just upgraded. What do you all think? If I knew exactly where to go (which file), I'd be happy to set it that way (hopefully) once and for all.

I also did the dpkg-reconfigure xorg deal and it worked. But, only once. Nothing since = (

Thanks in advance for any input you may have!

    Re: Monitor won't turn off

Well, I did some more searching (different keywords) and came across someone who had a similar problem back in April. So, I followed what they did and tried making the settings in admin mode. It seems to have worked so far. I don't recall having to do that in the older version of the OS. Anywho, mods feel free to lock/delete.
