    Lost Graphics Acceleration

I just built a system (old computer is an eMac) and have been running Kubuntu 7.04 fine. Everything installed at the outset and the graphics worked perfectly (OpenGL screensavers and Google Earth for example) but I just lost 3D Acceleration. Nothing changed except I added a second 1GB DIMM of memory.

I have an Intel DG965OT motherboard with integrated X3000 graphics. The driver hasn't changed, still i810. I have no idea how to update or restore the driver in Linux.

Does anyone have suggestions of how I can troubleshoot. I'm not yet prolific with the Konsole but I'm coming along and I can't see any issue inside the xorg.conf. I'd really like to avoid having to reinstall.

I tried pulling the new ram but it doesn't alleviate the problem.

    Re: Lost Graphics Acceleration

You could check logs, especially xorg log - Xorg.0.log.
Logs are in /var/log and they are text files.
Also: K > System > System Logs Viewer (KSystemLog)

    Shortcut - In the konsole
    Errors:
    Code:
    :~$ cat /var/log/Xorg.0.log | grep "(EE)"
    Warnings:
    Code:
    :~$ cat /var/log/Xorg.0.log | grep "(WW)"

    Before you edit, BACKUP !
