Data projector

Hi there,

I'm trying to use a data projector with a HP nx 7400 (with a 1280x800 display). I only get about 80% of the picture, the rightmost side in fact. Any tweaking of system settings will not change this. Edgy on an Inspiron 5100 worked well with that same data projector.

Any ideas?

just guessing...

it might just be that the needed resolution is missing
from the "Screen" section of your /etc/X11/xorg.conf file.
should this be the case and didn't know how to add it by hand,
you could just reconfigure your X server (from a konsole) with:

sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg

at some point you'll be asked to select the resolutions you want supported.

if this is not your problem, then i don't know, sorry.

Thanks Jankushka. I tried all possible resolutions in my xorg.conf, but the leftmost part of the screen is still missing on the projected screen. I'll keep trying.
