As my sight is not brilliant I changed the display resolution to something like 1024X768 to make it easier to read web pages however when ever I now boot up it opens in 640X480 and I am unable to change it. I am very new to Kubuntu and Feisty.

Re: Display Resolution
Hmm - how did you change resolution ?
Xorg.conf is xorg X Window System server configuration file (text file). It is in /etc/X11/
Did you ?
#1 In the konsole:
Code:sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg
xorg.conf -> xorg.conf.20070503184018
(year month day hour minute second)
more:
sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg:
http://users.bigpond.net.au/hermanzone/p7.html
#2 With text editor edited /etc/X11/xorg.conf
If kate:
kate makes one backupfile: xorg.conf -> xorg.conf~
#3 K > System Settings > Display
Backupfiles: xorg.conf -> xorg.conf.1 (xorg.conf.2...)
So copy backupfile to xorg.conf and restart. Did it any good ?
Did you try Ctrl Alt + or - (this should scroll available resolutions. IF X-Windows server is configured for multiple resolutions.)
