In Windows XP there is a feature in the ATI-drivers called Theater-mode, which function is to visualize a fullscreen video on the TV-out (secondary display, in this example my TV) while playing it on the primary display (my computer LCD screen). I've tried searching in google and several forums about this feature but haven't found any clear explanation off it concerning Linux. So the question is: Is this feature a possibility in Linux, and if it is, how do I configure the xorg..conf for this purpose. Or is this feature disabled in the Linux-drivers and non-possible?
At this time I can watch a fullscreen-video at my TV when opening i.e. Kaffeine from the desktop for my TV and choosing fullscreen, but it feels a little awkard because I want to control the video from my primary desktop on my LCD-screen.
I'm using the proprietary drivers from ATI and an ATI X1950-card. If it is something important I forgot mentioning just tell me.
Please discuss your experiences, conclusions and hopefully any good solutions to make this feature available.
