Hello everybody.
I have a question about hot plug/swap. Let's say I have two sound cards - one external USB and another integrated (onboard). External sound card is the default one and it works very well. Both cards has its indexes - USB card has 0 and integrated 1. When I remove the USB sound card it seems that KDE is lost - "where is the default card ?". Laptop vol hot keys stop working complaining that KMix is not running. I still can change volume by dragging slider (KMix, Amarok).
Is there any way to set the secondary (integrated) sound card to the default one when the primary card is plugged out ? Any automatic, elegant way without executing commands ? I tryied asoundconf set-default-card but it didn't help.
Any ideas ? Any....
