Keyboard works only every second boot?

Since I upgraded my computer from dapper to feisty the keyboard works only every second time. (I can't type in the password for kwallet in 50% of the cases)
I have a standard 105-keys keybard with ps2 connector.
And a usb mouse (If this should matter)

Is this a known bug?
What can I do?

Does it work consistently in the BIOS (eg can you change settings and things before Linux starts)? Could be a hardware fault.
