    How do you mount a FAT32 external usb hard drive

    when i plug it in it gives a screen, i choose open in a new window



    i think its not corrupt because it shows the name i gave it... so idk

    Sounds to me like it's mounted already.

    Have you tried copying a file to it?

      i have files on it already.. i just cant see it on the desktop... is there another location it would show up?



      also when it shows the choice thing is says

      Medium Type: Unmounted Removable Medium
      Open in new window
      Download photos with digikam
      Do nothing

        /media is the default location.
        For external use only.

          I don't think it's mounted. Go to system settings/advanced/disks and filesystems and enter the admin password. Then select the drive from the list and click "enable".

            i went in and i see the problem, doesn't have a mount point...


            how should i do it... i tried to make it desktop but i clicked it and it says i dont have rights to access (even tho im on hte root name

              create a folder named "mydrive" or something under /media in Konqueror. Then go back to disks and filesystems and browse to that and select it under mount point.
