I have a Nvidia 6800LE. I installed Automatix to correct my resolution, which was 1024x768 and the native resolution for my screen is 1280x1024 (TFT Philips 170x6). After every restart the resolution changes and i have to go to Nvidia Settings to put the right one. How i can fix it to 1280x1024?

Re: Automatix 2 and resolution!
you obviously shouldn't have to go and fiddle with the settings every bloody time.
a couple of things you ought to know:
a) the configuration file of your graphical server is in /etc/X11/xorg.conf
b) you can reconfigure your graphical server by running "sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg" from a konsole
c) having an nvidia card, you can choose the open source driver (nv) or the proprietary driver (nvidia)
d) nvidia settings is not something you normally fiddle with
e) kde adapts to the display configuration in ~/.kde/share/config/displayconfigrc, if it finds it
it seems you have a displayconfigrc with 1024x768.
if you do, then delete the file (you don't really need it).
hit ctrl-alt-backspace and log back into kde.
you should now be all right.
otherwise reconfigure your server as per b) above.
hth
cheers
