want to go from dapper to feisty, but terrified of ATI driver hell

    hi there.

i have a dell xps intel dual core desktop running kubuntu dapper (although only one of those cores seems to be used).

i went through hell to get my ati radeon working in dapper, and after that hesitated to upgrade to feisty because i thought i would have to go through that again. so i stuck with the LTS version. but now feisty is out, i have it running on my system76 notebook, and i am itching to put feisty on my dell xps desktop. but i'm terrified of how the upgrade process might affect my ati driver support - especially if i have to do it twice.

is there a sleek, efficient way to do this, not based in editing a zillion config files and perhaps somehow using feisty's new restricted-modules manager that will make me not cry and lose several days because the ATI doesn't play nice?

    below is output of lspci

It shouldn't be too bad. I'm pretty good at walking people through it, having been through it myself multiple times.

It's basically download, install, and (dpkg-)reconfigure. But, since you've already got it set up, I take it, it should be less painful.
