Monitor Display Problems (only in Kubuntu)

Would anyone know why my monitor's display would be all wonky with Kubuntu, but all right with Ubuntu? Both are installed on my machine, I have all the restricted modules enabled in Kubuntu, but still Kubuntu looks messed up—I keep on having to resize and re-centre and trapezoid, etcetera.
When I boot back into Ubuntu, however, everything is fine.
How can I get it so that in Kubuntu everything goes back to normal?
    I have Feisty installed.

        Have you tried?

And anyway, this sound more like a monitor problem. What kind of a monitor do you have? Does it have one of those auto-calibrate functions? Can you turn it off?
Oh, and do you use different resolutions in Ubuntu/Kubuntu? What happens if you don't?
        For external use only.
