No sound

Ok, this is frustrating the heck outta me. I upgraded to Feisty on the day it came out. While it solved a few bugs that were, well, bugging me, it introduced a few fresh ones. The one that's bugging me the most is that I have no sound. I have a Sound Fusion CD46xx card which worked perfectly under Edgy, but is completely broken under Fiesty. I've followed the directions of another thread which had me removing and reinstalling all the sound packages, but it's done no good. There haven't been any other posts, so I can't think of anything new to try.

Anyone else have any ideas what could be wrong?

I guess I should have mentioned (and taken into account) that I actually have two sound cards in my system. The Sound Fusion is actually a DMan multi track recording card which never worked until now. It was always my secondary card that I never did figure out how to enable. The other card that's built into my motherboard is an NVidia CK8S.

So now under Fiesty, it's all backward. My secondary card works and my primary one doesn't. I guess to be more precise, my secondary card is now my primary and my primary is now secondary. I've connected my speakers to the DMan (Sound Fusion), and I have all the sound I want.

I checked out the link you provided, but it was actually the first thing I found and didn't work. Ultimately, I really should figure out how to enable the secondary card, and to map the output of different audio programs to one card or the other. Any advice?

Well, the two-card thing hasn't been figured out yet. Feel free to email some developers, though. They're more likely to know.

Well, that's good to know. At least I'm not losing my mind. I'll submit a developer request (however that's normally done)
