    HDD help

    I need help

    how do i get my hdd displayed under home ? all it shows is the floppy and the cdrom if a cd is inserted
    how do I get it to show my hdd (only have one) so that it can display the files and folder kind of like accessing the hdd drive in windows -programs docs Linux system files etc.. for some reason all i can do is view my hdd in wine only- i can make a partition of about 156gb on the desktop but thats it

    any help would be greatly appreciated

    Well, first off, mounted devices aren't put under your home, they are in /media and media:/.
    I take it you're not familiar with Linux' file system structure. Things aren't organized under C:\Program Files\, the root directory is just /. Just one slash. You might want to read this for a little explanation, especially the "File system" section.
    What you see in Wine is Wine's simulated Windows environment. That isn't a real partition.

    If you want the filesystem laid out more like Windows, there is a distro of Linux available, but I can't find it right now.
