    keyboard issues with 7.04

    I am using a logitech s510 keyboard and mouse for some strange reason the keyboard will stop typing and when i hit the letter again it will space several times and type the letter 6 or so times I changed the battery to my wireless keyboard but the problem is still occurring could it be because the kb is hooked up via usb?

    p.s. need some other help as well


    I have an epson printer how do i install it in kubuntu 7.04 -pluged in usb port

    hoow do i change the desktop themes (again the keybord glitch)

    where is the .png file is located for the status bar i tried to change the statu bar to a vista type but for some reason i cant locate the original file all the directories i have is desktop,home,folders on the desktop and floppy how do i locate the hdd

    System Settings > Keyboard & Mouse. Poke around in there.

    And one problem per thread, please. (Printer: I can't help. Desktop theme: System Settings > Appearance. Panel background image: right-click panel > Configure panel > Appearance > Panel background.)

      Your Epson printer can be installed if you (a) find and download the Gutenprint driver, (b) convert it to Debian package format, and (c) install it. Here's my personal trail of breadcrumbs on that:

      Don't know why they decided to drop most of the Epson models from the drivers on the CD. Somebody doesn't like 'em, I guess.

        I also have the same problem with my Toshiba satellite M40x. I messed around with the System setting>keyboard, setting the delay high (1300msec). I didn't see the problem for a few days (3-5 boots)
        and now it is back again.

        It acts almost like the the CPU/Ram is overloaded and pauses for a few msec then it spits out a repeated string of letters of the button that you were just pushing.
