Nvidia 8600 gt

Hello

I have problems getting my nvidia 8600 gt working.

I have tried using nvidia-glx nvidia-glx-new. No difference. Just a blinking -

dpkg --reconfigure did not work

Any solution or are the 8600 card not supported?

8600 or 6800 GT? I can't find a 8600-numbered product on Nvidia's site ....

Its the 8600gt it was released two days ago in Norway

Just found an new version released yesterday from nvidia.

NVIDIA-Linux-x86-100.14.03-pkg1.run

I will try it....

Wow -- well, congratulations on that new card -- it looks like an excellent product.

Since it's not in the standard (K)Ubuntu packages yet, you will have to manually install the new driver. Michellembrodeur wrote the complete process a few days ago here, down toward the end of the thread:

Of course, with the new driver and card, some variation in the steps may be required ... :P

If and when you achieve a successful driver installation, it would a great help for others if you could post your process here.

Guess something went wrong. Nothing works now.

But its nice weather outside.
