Wireless, webcam and virtual meeting functionality needed

Our Broadcom bcmwl5 wireless card on our HP ZE2113US laptop with bcmwl5 driver seems to be recognized as a bcm43xx so we have to set up ndiswrapper to make it work.

Currently webcams are extremely difficult or impossible for the average user on Kubuntu (such as the 0ac8:305b Z-Star Microelectronics Corp. Vimicro webcam or the 046d:08d7 Logitech, Inc.QuickCam Communicate STX webcam). We need functionality when we plug in a USB webcam similar to flash drives, headsets, etc.

Also it would be very desirable to have virtual meeting capability where you can have a conference call on Gizmo Project, see everyone at the meeting on a webcam or photo, have the ability to show someone's desktop, whiteboard, etc. This could save a huge amount of time and resources spent on physical meetings.

The webcams are working in the new Kubuntu 7.04 A5 so that is a step forward. There is still no audio tab or configuration in Kopete. We will post further success in this area at http://www.Linux-Now.us
    Thanks

I had to install the gspca driver to get my Logitech QuickCam 310 to work on Feisty Herd 5. It was seen and reported by lsusb, but would not function with Camorama until I installed gspca.
