Ok i wanted to instal Beryl so i had to instal my nvidia driver , so i did that and after i enabled the nvidia-glx I had to restart X en from then it chashed when it wants to load i Just get the Kubuntu logo and the blue loading bar beneath it !.
I tried "/etc/init.d/kdm restart" in recovery mode but it says
STOPPING K display manager :kdm not running (/var/run/kdm -pid not found)
