    Hosting Site Using Apache

Hey guys, I was wondering If I could get a comment on the feasability of this.

I have purchased the rights at godaddy.com for www.something.com..

I have apache2 and mysql and php5 and all that jazz.... I am pretty good with using html and php for creating websites that are already hosted...

However, I was wondering what steps would be involved if I wanted to create a website from my home and host it on a kubuntu machine.. using the www.something.com domain name so anyone anywhere could access it.

Speed and security are not concerns for me, I do not have anything on my computer that I would care about loosing, I just want to be able to set it up.

If this has been discussed elsewhere, I'm sorry and feel free to just link me to another thread.

    Thanks,
    Ghandi

This question you should pose to your telephone company (read: the company providing the broadband internet connection you are using) - they are supposed to know the answer (read: sell an IP to you) ... however, depending on your location, things might be different.
