    Update Manager error

Very new linux newbie here, trying to use the update manager. After entering my password the following pops up:
Command 'gksu /usr/bin/update-manager ' not found

Can I fix this so update manager works, if so what do I need to do? Thank you.

Kubuntu 6.06 installed on a Dell Inspiron 6000 notebook.

Did you install Kubuntu overtop of Ubuntu?? Try typing kdesu update-manager in the run command(ALT-F2)
    ~$sudo make me a sandwich

This is a clean install onto another HDD partition. That Kdesu update manager seems to work fine, is that what I want to run to stay up to date? Where is that located so I can put it on my desktop? Thank you eriefisher!

        Re: Update Manager error

update-manager is a GNOME application, so currently, it's only available in Ubuntu. gksu is also a GNOME command.

In Kubuntu, we have adept_updater for updating. The command we use is "kdesu" instead of gksu. So taht would be "kdesu adept_updater". Anyway, your system checks for new updates daily, and will inform you in the system tray if new updates are available, so you don't have to manually check, unless you want to.

Great, that is good to know...I was starting to worry something was up with my new install. I really like the looks of Kubuntu and hope to only use my windows install for gaming in the future (i.e. when I become much more comfortable with using kubuntu). Thanks for the replies all of you!!
