I have downloaded the linux version of NetZero onto my computer. I installed the .denb package. I clicked on the icon in the /root/desktop/ folder. Nothing comes up. Can somebody help me with this?

Re: Probelms with Netzero on Kubuntu
I tried the same and failed. I already owned win4lin and found that NZ worked fine on there so I didn't pursue it further. Googling show a number of questions, but no solutions. Suggest that you run it from the command line (looks like nzppp) and start reporting what it says. I may try and work along with you to see if we can sort it out.

Re: Probelms with Netzero on Kubuntu
I also tried a long time ago with an earlier version of Mepis. There was some low-level issue with a driver for my modem. (I have an intel-some-version-no. WinFax modem.) I think I needed some kernel patch or something. I went to some sites, downloaded some things but in the end I got nowhere on the issue. It would be interesting to see if your issue is somehow related.
