I am running Kubuntu 6.06. I have set my file associations so that Kpdf will open and read .PDF files. And when I have a .PDF file on my hard disk it works fine. It even works sometimes when I am reading a .PDF file online.
But sometimes Kubuntu (or something) REQUIRES me to download the .PDF file before it will open it. Is this some parameter in the .PDF structure that the creator put in there, or is there something that I need to do in Kubuntu that will allow me to read the file on-line?
Sure, I can download the file and read it using Kpdf and then, if I don't want to keep it, I can delete the file. But this seems needless.
I would appreciate any suggestions as to how to remedy this "problem".
