    How to set a local server for updates ?

    Hi:

    I have 20 computers (later 40). Kubuntu installed. I want to mantain up to date all pc, but, is very slow if all the pc realize the updates at the same time.

    My questions:

    1.- is posible that I set my server to download all the updates (rsync ?) and the pcs updates from my server ?

    2.- How can I set my server to download all the updates with rsync or another method ?

    My server have ubuntu 5.10

      Thank you for the link. Is very usefull

      I have read that, but, this howto don't say anything on how to download the files or updates to the local server.

      You known how to do that ?

        Hi,

        I don't really know how to use, I guess you would like apt-cacher, so just install it, check man page. Really sorry I couldn't find more help in english or french, but few in deutch.

        Hope you will get a solution.
