Adept Manager and Repositories

Can anyone help this newbie to Kubuntu 6.06.

I am unable to download any new software or headers.

I have enabled the 2 lines in the Adept Manage Repositories and edited them to read

deb  nttp://gb.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/  dapper  universe multiverse

deb-scr  nttp://gb.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/  dapper  universe multiverse

and then selected apply.

When "Fetch Updates" is selected this produces a new screen but no new headers appear. The info line at the bottom still reads 937 installed, 937 available, presumably this is what came off the CD.

Can anyone please help.

Those lines should be deb http not nttp (or was that just a typo?)

Hi Jerry,
if you only enable those to repositories there will not be much more available you need to at least enable the updates repositories, personally I allways enable all the available rep's. If you use the search facility on this site and on the Kubuntu documentation you will find plenty of info on repositories. conversely follow this link it may be a bit command line for you but all the information is just as valid for a graphical interface.
