    disabling DPMS? for certain sessions

    Hello,

    I'm hoping someone might have the answer to this problem.

    I have a box for MythTV and sometimes for KDE desktop usage.  I have created a file in /usr/share/xsessions for mythfrontend, so that I can go straight from KDM to mythfrontend without starting up KDE if I want.  I have it working fine, except for one thing.  When I'm in mythfrontend, after a few minutes without keyboard or other input, the TV screen goes black.  I can hit a key to bring it up again, but then hitting a key usually performs some operation in mythfrontend.  I'm wondering if there's something I can add to /usr/share/xsessions/mythfrontend.desktop to disable DPMS or whatever is causing the screen to go black, but ONLY for a mythfrontend session.  Here's my /usr/share/xsessions/mythfrontend.desktop file, in case anyone's interested:

    Code:
    [Desktop Entry]
    Encoding=UTF-8
    Name=MythTV Frontend
    Comment=Watch TV
    Exec=/usr/bin/mythfrontend
    Terminal=False
    Type=Application

    [Window Manager]
    SessionManaged=true
Working...
