Strange sound problem

I just installed Kubuntu on a PC and everythings seems to be fine, but I have two issues that bugs me, one is with sound ( I will post later the other one, first I will try somthing that came on my mind).

The sound is present, but there is no way to rise it or lower it on Kmix.

Basically if I play with the physical volume of the speakers or the headphones it works, but there is no way of rising or lowering the volume on the GUI.

Sound is always at the same level.

Has anyone had anything like that ever before?

Do you have multiple sound devices installed? If yes, check if you are adjusting the volume to the right device.

Spot on Brother, I had to change the setter the volume bar was working on.
