Wireshark not in repository - solved

According to the wireshark download web page there is a debian wireshark package.   I have all repositories uncommented in my sources.list file but apt-cache search after apt-get update returns nothing.  Does anyone know where the wireshark package can be found?

    It's over on
    http://packages.debian.org/cgi-bin/s...ll&release=all

I remember there is a way to convery debian debs to our kind of files, but am fuzzy on the details.

There is also wireshark packages in edgy repos, though it may not install nicely on dapper due to dependencies...you may also try to build it from either debian or edgy sources if you hesitate to upgrade to edgy.

Never mind. The package is still labeled ethereal in the dapper repositories. It's about 2 minor versions out of date but works OK. Much easier than messing about with other release versions.
