    upgrading open office

    Recently OpenOffice 2.0.4 has been realesed. How can I remove v2.0.0 from drapper drake and install the lastest version? I have already downloaded 2.0.4 tar.gz file.

    I kept the old version. To install the new version, I untar'd OOo_2.0.4_LinuxIntel_install.tar.gz. Then I used Alien to convert all the rpm packages to debian packages. Then, I installed the debian packages, which placed 2.0.4 in /opt/openoffice.org2.0. Then, I made a few changes to /usr/bin/ooo-wrapper. It works fine. Details are here:
