    KISO problem

    Hi all,

I need to mount virtual drives from image files and after some search I found kiso and installed it trough the apt. When I try to run it I get this:

    ruya@aquarium:~$ sudo kiso --virtualdrive DEI/trp/PRtools.nrg
X Error: BadDevice, invalid or uninitialized input device 157
    Major opcode: 148
    Minor opcode: 3
    Resource id: 0x0
    Failed to open device
X Error: BadDevice, invalid or uninitialized input device 157
    Major opcode: 148
    Minor opcode: 3
    Resource id: 0x0
    Failed to open device
kiso: ERROR: Communication problem with kiso, it probably crashed.

    Can someone help?

    Thanks

    Re: KISO problem

    Hi,

I think you should use more kdesu to launch it, no ?
Anyway, maybe this baddevice is linked to usual trouble. You can make a search in the forum about baddevice wacom

    Hope it helps.

      Re: KISO problem

I installed Kiso from Adept. It did not put an entry in my KDE menu anywhere that I can find, but when I hit Run and Kiso, it works just fine. Did you use Adept or one of the other package managers to install it? I was planning to use Kiso to browse downloaded ISO images. If it will do something like Daemon Tools on Windows, that is awesome. Good luck.

Yes, I've found a thread that solves (at least apparently) the problem of the bad device, however, kiso still doesn't run from the console but it's already ok running through kde.

        Thanks everyone
