    Open Office Spreadsheet

I am running Open Office v.2.0.2 under Kubuntu 6.06. I use the spreadsheet application more than any of the other applications under Open Office.

I have been unable to copy a cell and paste the value of that cell in another cell. I can paste the cell, but it pastes the formula rather than the value of the cell. Am I missing something? Is there a way to paste the value of a cell?

I also have Open Office [I don't remember the version] under WinXP. Under that spreadsheet, I can paste the values of cells, using Paste Special. But it doesn't work under Kubuntu.

    Any suggestions?

I stand corrected by myself. Under WinXP the "paste values" does not work as I suggested in the parent. However, I have discovered how to do it, both under WinXP and Kubuntu.

    (1) You select the cells that you want and press Ctrl-E, C [copy]
    (2) You move to your destination cell and press Ctrl-E, S, [Paste Special] then uncheck all items except "Number" and press <Enter>

It's not nearly as easy as Excel, but it can be done.
