one of the core libsdl-dev libraries strictly depends on a packgage that depends on a older
library thats been upgraded to a slightly newer version and the older version isn't
in any of the respositories
can someone recommend a good apt-get or dpkg faq that covers more then the basics?
I need a fuction for forcing substituting dependencies to tell apt-get its ok to use the newer
file to sastify the packgage that depends strictly on a specific library version
(lol well anyway I'm pretty sure its ok)
I need them to build fRaBs from source because the one ported from the debian
repositories is still using the 2.0 version when 2.1 has been out for 6-8 years now
and their package has a problem where some of the guns don't work
