I recently installed Kubuntu Dapper on my Desktop, after running it on my Laptop since Dapper came out, everything has worked fine except for this one Issue that is still remaining.
I noticed it first when I could not get the mic to work in Skype, I thought it was isolated to being Skype causing troubles, but after installing KRec, and trying to record there as well, I found out that it was a general problem.
I have checked kmix input, and all of the devices are by default enabled, and I turned on mic boost, and turned volume all the way up in Input, but with no luck.
Still nothing gets recorded.
However I found that the mic Works, because If I go to the output Tab of mixer and turn up the microphone there, I will hear my self, but still nothing is recorded.
On my Laptop it works with no problems.
On my Desktop I have a Audigy 2 ZS
Anyone have some good pointers in how to get this to work?
Regards.
Brian
