Trying to install Automatrix for kubuntu Dapper

I am trying to follow thefollow the instruction provided by mstlyevil .

entering sudo kwrite /etc/apt/sources.list into terminal konsole tells me that something wrong and that the sytstem may have crashed but it does give me kwrite and the source list.  I am a bit concenred because Konsole comes up as shell konsole and I seem to recall I should not be in Shell.

Second the entries does not look like this:

    # Dapper Final Release Repository
    #deb http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu dapper main
    #deb-src http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu dapper main

    But more like this:

    #
    # deb cdrom:[Kubuntu 6.06.1 _Dapper Drake_ - Release i386 (20060807.1)]/ dapper main restricted

    deb cdrom:[Kubuntu 6.06.1 _Dapper Drake_ - Release i386 (20060807.1)]/ dapper main restricted

    deb http://ca.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ dapper main restricted
    deb-src http://ca.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ dapper main restricted

    ## Major bug fix updates produced after the final release of the
    ## distribution.

I personally use kate but it looks fine to me. as long as you use sudo, you can edit and save it. i am not an expert on source list (or anything for that matter) but it looks fine to me... although you dont seem to have much there...
i use source-o-matic for my source list plus a few from the Trevino list.
