cdrw with k3b 0.12.14

Here's my problem,

When I try to burn a .avi file on a data cdrw , it seems to work well. But when the burning session is done and I try to mount it or to read it with my dvd/divx player, the cdrw is still blank; no file on the cdrw.

so everytime I wanna watch a new movie on my tv, I have to switch to windows to burn it and then come back to linux.
* burning a cdr under kubuntu works well.

Using kubuntu 3.5.4 and k3b 0.12.17 with cd-rw (4x)

There seems to be problems to burn slower cd-rw:
K3b and 4x cd-rw.. Will not burn.

I noticed that:

My lg gsa-4165b can't burn cd-rw (4x) (well it did once ).
My HP cd writer 9100 can burn (is this somekind hardware problem ? New(er) hardware (+k3b) can't burn old cd's).

Kubuntu has problems to notice/automount cd-rw disks. Had to mount it by hand (sudo mount /dev/hdc /media/cdrom)

Kubuntu notices empty cd-rw but when it has something in it -> no automount
