SOLVED: ssh hangs and does nothing

Hello All:

I have just noticed that recently my ssh hangs and does not connect to my remote machine at school. I also get the two error messages saying that Kontact had trouble using ssh to grab my calendar from school. They are:

"Unexpected error talking to ssh"
"Unexepected sftp error: 2 - Kontact"

How would I begin to figure out what's going on? Since I have no messages being sent to my terminal, I'm not sure what's happening.

Any suggestions are a huge help.

SOLVED!

For once, it wasn't my problem. It turns out that my latest upgrade at school (FC5) had issues with the ssh and Rsync servers. it has been resolved at that end by the department IT guy....

Why, O why, did I doubt Kubuntu?
