    System settings module broken

I've been setting up kubutu for use on a few laptops at my work and it finally came time to set up the regular user account. After doing so I switched to a new session to test it out, make sure everything was working as it should. Everything was fine until I switch back to the first session, which I had locked. Unlocked, and went into the system settings panel to tweak some more settings.

Upon trying to load up the Users & Groups module I receive the following error:
The module Users & Groups could not be loaded.
    The diagnosis is:
    Possible reasons:
An Error occurred during your last KDE upgrade leaving an orphaned control module
You have old third party modules lying around

What? I was just using that module not 5 minutes before.
Anyone have some clue as to what's really happening here?

    Thanks in advance.

try rebooting. I have never had success locking and unlocking sessions.
I tried Enlightenment once, it was pretty cool.

Hi - same issue. Rebooting solves nothing for me.

      Did you figure it out?

i think i saw that already.
in my case it was because i had added the user account manually.
and i didn't know that these fancy new guis have some settings
by which they tell a system account from a regular account and
a system group from a regular group...
blah...crap for former windope users that don't know anything about
        operating systems...

anyway, trying to open the users management tool would give me
        the same message you're quoting...

check your new user has both UID and GID above 1000.

        hope this helps...
