Can't install .deb files in Konqueror

I'm not sure if I did anything to cause this, but, I'm unable to install any .deb file using Konqueror. I used to right click on the file in Konqueror and select install with Adept, but that option is missing.
    I'm running Kubuntu 6.06.1 with kde 3.54.

Does anyone know how to get it back?
    Thanks for any help

WOW! I have never tried that.
I tried Enlightenment once, it was pretty cool.

Have you tried to right click > open with then enter Adept and check the box Remember application association for this type of file?

Also if you have the downloaded file go to where it is and click on it.

        Have you removed 'kubuntu-default-settings' package?

Reinstalling it should get the 'package' service menu back.

If you don't want to have the package permanently installed, you can:
        1. install kubuntu-default-settings
        2. backup the appropiate servicemenu files (something like kubuntu-servicemenu.desktop and kubuntu-servicemenu.sh...can't remember for sure)
        3. remove kubuntu-default-settings
        4. restore the backed up files

          Thanks kubicle.
          It's back working!
I uninstalled the kubuntu-default-settings with synaptic and reinstalled it.
I then reinstalled kubuntu-desktop with synaptic.
          Everything is back to normal.
